Another source of inspiration - Ladurée, Paris (founded in 1862).
Whenever I had visitors in Paris I would take them here for a truly French experience. You could say it is almost like our version of ‘high tea’ in Australia. But the rich flavours and the bright colours are something I have yet to find in Sydney.

i've found it pretty hard to find the same quality and creativity of Paris cakes in Sydney but we're slowly getting there. in the meantime perhaps check out the Bacco in QVB or Chifley Plaza and La Renaissance in the Rocks. :-) Also the cake place in the new Sydney Westfield food court on level 5 has some pretty nice looking cakes too.
